Oppo Reno 8T 4G Detailed Description:
Design.
The Oppo Reno 8T differs from its older brothers’ flat-design physical factor. The Reno 8T has a curved shape, which is very attractive. While having a luxurious appearance, the curved shape also provides a good grip for you to grasp the device. Although the plastic in the rear shows some noticeable smudges, it is not very slippery.
Display.
Unlike Oneplus 8T, the 6.43-inch OLED screen of the Reno 8T has a resolution of 1080×2412 pixels. With a peak brightness of 950 Nits, this panel is bright. The colours and animation here flash straight away when the smartphone starts up, so you can tell that right away. This panel is easier to look at, even under direct sunlight. The details are crisp and the colours are natural and added to the curved display. Just like the Reno 8T 5G, it provides a solid experience.
Camera.
A triple camera arrangement is included on the back of the Oppo Reno 8T. The main camera has a 100MP resolution and is supplemented with a 2MP depth camera and a 2MP microsensor. Yes, a minuscule sensor was utilized to take high-resolution pictures of objects by 40X enlarging them. Is it a beneficial addition? We answer that. Oppo’s algorithm produces a final output that is noticeably different from what is seen in the viewfinder, which has primarily been the reason why the results have shocked us throughout our tests.
In the bright outdoors, the images are crisp with vivid colours and a spot-on dynamic range. Without choosing the specific 100MP mode, Oppo asserts, the photos will still display that rating. That’s true. Naturally captured images are also well-composed and may be zoomed into without losing details.
Performance.
The Oppo Reno 8T runs Android 13 with ColorOS 13 out of the box. The software experience is largely unchanged, with a few new additions. The MediaTek MT8781 Helio G99 (6nm) chipset powers the phone, which is an intriguing choice considering its focus on balanced performance. The chipset does deliver on this to a large extent, providing smooth performance for daily tasks and gaming.
Battery Life.
Oppo claims that the device has been verified to go through 1600 charge cycles, double the industry standard. Up to five hours of screen time are achievable on average with the 5000mAh battery. This is true on both busy and slow days. It takes roughly 54% in 30 min (advertised) using 33W wired charging. This happens when data is enabled. The battery is large compared to the primary Oppo Reno 8, Oppo Reno 8 Pro, and Oppo Reno 8 Pro Plus.
