Nothing Phone 1 Detailed Descriptions:
Design.
The transparent design of the Nothing Phone 1 is one of its most eye-catching features. It is similar to the design of the Nothing Ear 1 earbuds, and it features LED lights that light up to indicate notifications, calls, and battery status. However, the transparent design does not actually expose the phone’s internal components. Instead, the rear panel is made of a material that has a translucent appearance. This gives the illusion that the internals are visible, without actually compromising the phone’s durability or functionality. The design is surely something that we haven’t seen on any phone before not the Google Pixel 7 Pro, nor the Samsung M33 5G.
Display.
The Nothing phone (1) features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. You caught a small glimpse of the phone (1)’s display when compared to the likes of Google’s Pixel 6, Find X5 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S22, but thanks to the 120Hz you have an almost similar display.
Camera.
The Nothing Phone 1 has a 50MP main camera, a 16MP ultrawide camera, and a 16MP selfie camera. The main camera uses a Sony sensor, which is known for its image quality. Additionally, the sensor’s size and the rumoured f/1.8 aperture are also favourable for taking good photos.
Performance & Software
The phone uses the Qualcomm SM7325-AE Snapdragon 778G+ 5G (6 nm) chipset, dashing hopes that it would use the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the more recent Snapdragon 7 Gen. We have no clue why Nothing went for a slower chipset compared to the recent phones, but we believe it is best for performance, power consumption, and cost. The company recently rolled out the Nothing launcher beta version, which looks quite clean, much like iOS and also, to some extent, OxygenOS. So the phone runs on Android 12 based on Nothing OS which makes it perfect for use with the Nothing Ear 1.
Battery
The phone is powered by a Li-Po 4500 mAh, non-removable battery that is similar to the new POCO F4 but small when compared to the more affordable POCO C40 and Tecno Pop 6. The powerhouse supports fast charging of 45W, which takes your phone from 0% to 50% in 30 min.
