Nokia X30 5G Detailed Description:
Design.
The elephant in the room is the design language. Nokia X30 5G is a pretty piece of technology’s perfection. This is maybe the main selling point of the phone. If you’re into thin, lightweight, premium-feeling smartphones, then this is the handset for you.
Nokia X30 5G is built with both sustainability and longevity in mind. It’s designed for everyday life, with a robust metal frame and a tough display although others may perceive it as old-fashioned, because phones strived to be as thin as possible a couple of years ago, and the overall frame treatment (matte aluminum with glossy chamfered edges) is also a bit outdated it looks good.
Display.
An AMOLED, 90Hz, 450 nits (typ), 700 nits (peak) 6.43 inches screen means better colors, brighter screen, and smoother viewing – ideal for scrolling, streaming, or browsing. And all on a smartphone-sized to fit better in your hand and pocket, protected by the toughest Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It’s a good display although it is not as large as that one of Oppo A96. What’s more, you need to know is that there’s little to no control over the color scheme – you can make the display cooler or warmer via a slider but that’s pretty much it – no color presets, or factory-calibrated accurate settings. There are plenty of display options in this price range. The Galaxy A53 is a great choice – it’s not only cheaper but also offers a 120Hz AMOLED display that’s bigger and brighter.
Camera.
Nokia X30 5G sports a dual camera system on its rear featuring the usual suspects (wide-ultrawide configuration). The main camera is a 50MP sensor with a 1.8 aperture lens with optical image stabilization and phase detection autofocus. This is an upgrade over the Nokia 8.3 which tends to sharpen the images and introduces a lot more noise making the experience underwhelming.
The ultrawide selfie snapper is a 13MP, f/2.4 camera, and there’s a 16MP selfie camera on the front. Nokia proudly presents the Camera 2.0 software with the X30, with bells and whistles such as:
- Night mode – Advanced night mode to capture a clean, natural, and balanced night view with breathtaking details.
- Tripod mode – Automatically enabled when the device is steady or mounted on a tripod, to capture long exposure and best quality night shot.
- Dark Vision – Automatically enabled in the extremely dark environment to capture amazing details when human eyes can barely see.
- AI Portrait – Enhance facial details with AI technology.
Performance.
The Nokia X30 5G comes equipped with a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, and it’s one of the most affordable silicon with the 5G moniker out there. Things run smoothly from the hardware to the software so you will have almost nothing to complain about.
The performance is certainly tantamount to many Puredisplay devices released in 2022, something that will be shocking to see even on the Nokia G60 5G. The call aspect is standard with good call quality and good reception. The loudspeaker is loud and clear but doesn’t beat that of the Redmi Note 11T 5G because it feels hollow. The under-display fingerprint scanner works well. The Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 5G (6 nm) along with the 8GB RAM gives a buttery smooth experience across the board where everything just works well. Battery life is essentially good and will easily last you a day of moderate usage. Fast charging with a QC charger works reliably.
Battery.
Nokia X30 comes with a Li-Po 4200 mAh, is non-removable, and has a fast charging of about 33W. After testing this battery, the results paint the same picture – the battery life is nothing to write home about. This battery is similar to that of the Nokia X40.
