The flagship new sound feature is the introduction of support for 24-bit audio – a higher bitrate than the industry standard 16-bit. There are caveats though: for now at least this only works with a compatible Samsung Galaxy phone running One UI 4 or later, and you’ll also need a source of 24-bit audio – for streaming that means the likes of Tidal or Apple Music, but not Spotify.
