Infinix Hot 50 Pro Detailed Description:
Design
The Hot 50 Pro’s design closely resembles the Infinix Hot 50i. It is available in three color options; Sleek Black, Titanium Grey, and Glacier Blue. The design is calm and thin as Infinix explains, with a pearlescent nano finish that shines like metal, reflecting comfort. When in the hand, the Hot 50 Pro feels very slim, and easy to forget that you are holding it.
Performance
Don’t let the price deceive you that the Hot 50 Pro is a budget performer phone. Its Mediatek Helio G100 (6 nm) chipset offers gaming capabilities, 4G with ‘Elevator Mode’ for advanced network connectivities. Better scrolling and animations on the phone’s screens are guaranteed by Intelligent Display Sync, which is also made possible by the Chip. It also optimizes power usage for a longer battery life.
Despite its strong performance, the Helio G100 might not be able to handle the most taxing jobs, such as intensive video editing or playing expensive games at maximum settings. You also don’t get 5G even in its higher model the Infinix Hot 50 Pro Plus, as expected due to its high demand. All this is to make the price remain affordable but you can also opt for the Infinix Note 50 or the Infinix Note 40 for 5G-enabled connectivity.
Software
Hot 50 Pro runs on Android 14 under XOS 14.5 and Infinix promises only one major Android upgrade. Android 14 provides stricter privacy and security measures, protecting your data, while XOS 14.5 offers extensive customization options, allowing you to personalize the phone to your liking. This is a big advantage and feature that isn’t available in flagship devices like the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Although you are promised to get the Android 15, one downgrade is that XOS is primarily designed for Infinix and Tecno devices, limiting its availability to a smaller range of options, which limits compatibility.
Camera
The Camera on the Infinix Hot 50 Pro is not that good to scream about but you are promised standard photos. The photos feel very unprofessional with over-sharpening and color imbalance. During the day is when you can shoot good photos while Night photography struggles with brightness. The main camera which includes 50-MP (f/1.6, 27mm wide, 1/2.8″, AF), a 2-MP (f/2.4, depth), and a 3rd unspecified camera offer video shooting at 1440p@30fps and 1080p@30/60fps.
Battery
Similar to its lower model the Hot 50i, the Infinix Hot 50 Pro offers a standard 5000 mAh, non-removable battery with a charging capability of 33W wired, which promises 50% in 27 min as advertised by Infinix. The phone also offers Reverse wired and Bypass charging capabilities.
